STANTON – A 24-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly kidnapping his ex-girlfriend, tying her with duct tape and threatening her with a knife.

Investigators say Danny Le confronted his former girlfriend Friday at her job in Westminster, Amormino said.

After a brief argument over another man, Le allegedly grabbed the woman’s purse and told her to come with him.

The woman followed Le to an unknown location in Stanton.

That’s when Le allegedly pulled out a six-inch knife and held it the woman’s neck and tied her hands and feet with duct tape, Amormino said.

During a brief stop in Fountain Valley, the woman was able to untie herself and ran from the car.

She ran to a phone and reported the incident to authorities.

“When deputies arrived the suspect was gone,” Amormino said.

Investigators issued an arrest warrant for Le, who walked into an attorney’s office in Garden Grove and then turned himself in to deputies, Amormino said.

He was booked on suspicion of kidnapping, false imprisonment and robbery.

Le is currently being held without bail and is expected to appear in court Friday.
