Singer Anthony Hamilton doesn’t just contribute to his community by making great soul music; he’s also giving back with a week of service in his Charlotte, North Carolina hometown.

The singer, whose latest recording, “Back to Love,” is out now, remains a resident of Charlotte, with his wife, Tarsha, and their two children (A third one is due later this year).

Hamilton is doing a week of service in conjunction with Men’s Shelter of Charlotte, the Salvation Army Center of Hope and the Second Harvest Food Bank through his TASTE (Take A Step To Elevate) Foundation. He established the foundation in 2009 to support his community in healthier eating and exercise.

“Although Charlotte is a beautiful place to live, with so much to offer to its residents and the rest of the world, there are still many people here that can use more support.
