The Browns said in a statement obtained by the AP that they’re “aware of the situation.”

Walcott signed with the Browns last month as an undrafted free agent.

In February 2011, Walcott was one of three Virginia football players to be arrested and suspended due to a fight that took place at James Madison University. Charges against Walcott were later dropped, while two of his teammates pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor, per the Washington Times.

UPDATE ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted that the Browns have released Walcott.
