While Hurricane Earl makes it’s crawl up the East Coast this weekend, folks in other parts of the country will take this last opportunity before school starts up again to do their backyard grilling or barbecuing in a big way.

Labor Day traditionally kicks off that transition from summer into fall, whatever that means to you, aside from having to buy school clothes and supplies. And for all those who are going back to school, whether it’s to kindergarten or grad school, we wish you all the luck in pursuing your educational goals this year!

The real party, of course, is taking place in Orlando at the Allstate Tom Joyner Family Reunion! But if you’re there in spirit, not flesh, here’s a list of great ways to end summer in your neck of the woods this weekend.
