It’s a boy!

That’s right, Grammy Award-winning singer Alicia Keys and husband, Swizz ‘Kaseem Dean’ Beatz welcomed their first child on Oct. 14 in New York City.

Keys’ independent personal publicist Kelly Bush confirmed to BlackVoices.com this evening that the newlyweds chose to name their newborn son, Egypt Daoud Dean.

Following speculation on Keys’ maternity status the couple announced in May that they were expecting a child and had intentions on tying the knot in a secluded ceremony.

The couple followed through with their plans and exchanged vows on the French island of Corsica on July 31, which included celebrity friends Dr. Deepak Chopra, Queen Latifah and U2‘s Bono who were all in attendance.

The ‘Fancy’ producer took to his Twitter account on Thursday night to profess his affection over Egypt’s birth. “I’m so thankful for everything I been blessed with in my life wowwwwww!”
