President Obama is negotiating privately on a plan to appease GOP and Democrats. The White House’s plan would let the Bush tax cuts continue temporarily if Republicans agree to a year-long extension of unemployment benefits and tax breaks.Saturday Senate Republicans successfully filibustered stopped two Democratic tax cut bills that would have allowed Bush-era tax cuts benefiting only the wealthiest of the country to expire. Both sides knew up front that the bill would be rejected!
The GOP Gangsters have threatened to block all Democratic bills until the tax cut drama is resolved. Many expect a deal before Christmas, we’ll be watching how this unfolds.
