A Colorado second grader was so disruptive in class, police said, they were forced to use pepper spray on him.
Colorado police said the boy was throwing a violent temper tantrum in an elementary school classroom. The report says he was climbing furniture and waving around a sharpened stick.
Police said they asked him to drop the stick, and sprayed him when he didn’t.
“Our officers had to do something to diffuse the situation in a hurry before somebody got hurt,” said Steve Davis of Lakewood Police.
The boys mom said he was mistreated.
“Like a common criminal. I mean, I’m sure what he was doing wasn’t right, but he’s 8 years old,” said his mother Mandy.
The boy was transferred to a school for children with behavioral issues
