93.1 WZAK’S Kym Sellers Honored at 2011 Heart & Soul Awards

Saturday June 18, 2011, 93.1 WZAK’s own Kym Sellers will be honored at the 2011 Heart & Soul Awards Ceremony, hosted by Boris Kodjoe at the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel. This event promotes the physical, mental, spiritual and financial well-being of black women and their families. Kym’s journey began in a small community near Akron, were she eventually attended the University of Akron were she first made her radio debut. After spending time traveling the world she returned to Ohio joining one of the top rated morning drive time shows with co-host Lynn Toliver and Ralph Poole. In 1998, according to Upscale Magazine, she was named “One of the Hottest DJ’s in the Country.” She has since won numerous awards for her achievements and has been honored by many organizations, most recently the Phenomenal Woman of the Year award, and the Otis Moss Jr. University Hospitals Medical Center Faith and Vision award. Sellers founded the Kym Sellers Foundation as a direct result of being diagnosed with MS in 1992. It is a Not for Profit organization which provides support to individuals with MS in Northeast Ohio.   Kym Sellers serves as a source of inspiration for all who hear her voice.  Let’s celebrate our own Kym Sellers on her accomplishment and achievements.
