GARFIELD HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) –
Police and Fire were called to a Cleveland Public Elementary School in Garfield Heights, for a large fight in the cafeteria Thursday.
The fight reportedly started around 1pm at Cranwood Elementary located at 13604 Christine Avenue in Garfield Heights. Cranwood is the temporary location for Miles Elementary School, a Cleveland Metropolitan Public School.
Officials tell 19 Action News that no weapons were involved in the fight, which started as a food fight but got out of control.
Several students were injured, none were reported serious.
Miles Elementary School at Cranwood facilitates grades K- 8.
Police and school officials say the incident remains under investigation.
