The parents of a third-grade boy are suing a Ft. Worth school district and two employees for forcing their son to shower in front of them because he was “smelly.”

Amber and Michael Tilley claim that their eight-year old son was taken to the nurse’s office at Peaster Elementary School where he was forced to remove his clothes.

The complaints alleges that: “[School officials began violently washing his body with a washcloth, scrubbing him over a large portion of his body, stuck cotton balls in his ears, all while ridiculing and harassing him about being ‘dirty’.”

The parents said that they filed a police report but no charges were set.

According to the claims made in the lawsuit, the boy became distraught over the incident and had to see a therapist shortly after.

“He just kept on and on, wanting to take baths,” Amber Tilley said. “You know, he just felt so disgusting.”
