LL Cool J will not be charged with assault after breaking a burglar’s jaw at his home in Los Angeles this week.
As previously reported, the rapper and star of “NCIS: Los Angeles” beat down an intruder who he caught in his kitchen, breaking the man’s nose and jaw.
The suspect entered his home at around 2 a.m. When he heard a commotion downstairs, LL went to investigate and found the suspect criminal rifling through his belongings. The alarm system had already been tripped – meaning the authorities were on their way – though LL Cool J – real name James Todd Smith – decided to detain the man until cops arrived.
Law enforcement sources say the suspect is currently hospitalized and is being treated for his injuries. A rep for LL Cool J confirmed that he is safe and unharmed, adding, “He is committed to keeping his family safe and is cooperating with authorities.”
