Billionaire playboy Cecil Chao said he’s looking for a guy to wed his socialite daughter, Gigi, an open lesbian. The South China Morning Post first reported his “marriage bounty” Wednesday.
“I don’t mind whether he is rich or poor,” 76-year-old Chao said of potential suitors. “The important thing is that he is generous and kind-hearted.”
Chao scoffed at reports that Gigi (seen below on the right) had married her partner, a woman named Sean Eav (below on the left), in France last April, according to London’s The Telegraph. The pair have been together for 7 years.
Homosexuality was decriminalized in Hong Kong in 1991, but same-sex marriages or civil unions are not legal.
Chao, who isn’t married and claims to have have slept with 10,000 women, says this is a way to attract “someone who has the talent but not the capital to start his own business.”
He added that he would never force his daughter — the oldest of his three children — to marry someone.
The raven-haired beauty is a businesswoman herself, with a model management and public relations firm. She describes herself on Facebook as a social entrepreneur and “a woman that cares to look another in the eye and seek what’s behind.”
As for her father’s money-for-matrimony scheme, Gigi Chao called it entertaining — but she isn’t worried until an actual suitor comes along.
