The guy who tried to break into Taye Diggs’ home, only to be taken down by the actor, has been charged with first degree burglary.
Taye told police he came home from the SAG Awards Sunday … only to be confronted by a man trying to break into his house. Taye said he chased after the guy — a 20-year-old named Hassan Omar Juma — and ended up restraining him ’til the cops came.
The DA charged Hassan today with felony burglary stemming from the incident. If convicted, he faces up to six years in state prison. We’re told prosecutors will ask the judge to set bail at $50,000.
Juma has pleaded not guilty to charges.
