Jamie Foxx Plays President In New Movie ‘White House Down’ [VIDEO]
The filmmaker behind Independence Day is blowing up the White House again, but this time a black man is playing the Commander in Chief.
A trailer for Roland Emmerich’s upcoming action film White House Down has hit the web and while it’s light on the plot points, it does give us a tantalizing glimpse of the A-list pairing of Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx.
Foxx will be playing a fictional President James Sawyer in the film. The role is yet another juicy one for Foxx who is in the midst of a career resurgence following his leading man performance in the blockbuster Django Unchained.
The Oscar winner will also co-star as the villain in the highly-anticipated sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man, which is due out next year.
White House Down opens in theaters on June 28, 2013.
