CLEVELAND – Photos of kidnapping survivors Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight show the progress they have made just in three months. Berry, DeJesus and Knight were found alive on May 6 in Ariel Castro’s Seymour Avenue house in Cleveland. Castro was sentenced on Thursday to life in prison without the possibility of parole plus a thousand years. During Thursday’s sentencing hearing, prosecutors displayed photos of the women before they went missing, when they found and during their recent video statement. “The women have made dramatic recoveries, I believe, physically and psychologically,” said Andrew Burke with the FBI. “Their initial appearance to me was considerably more dire.”
