Tom Joyner News: Northeast Ohio blood drives suffer potentially dangerous donor shortage because of bitter cold!
ELYRIA, Ohio – The cold is not only keeping people inside to stay warm, it’s also keeping people from donating much needed blood. In fact, this month blood donation groups said they’re seeing a shortage they haven’t seen before.
Wednesday, Director of Communications for LifeShare Community Blood Services, Lisa Mayles said over the phone, ” It’s the biggest crisis I’ve never seen. I’ve been here for 15-years and I’ve never seen anything like it.”
