Indians pitcher Corey Kluber was crowned the AL Cy Young on Wednesday.

The award is given to the best pitcher in their respected league.

Kluber was lights out this season, going 18-9 (tied for 1st in AL with most wins) with a 2.44 ERA (3rd in AL) while striking out 269 batters (2nd in AL).

Indians outfielder Michael Brantley was announced as a finalist for the AL Most Valuable Player, given to the league’s best player.

Brantley posted a .327 batting average (3rd in AL) while hitting 20 home runs, 97 runs batted in and swiping 23 stolen bases.
