Singer Joe Cocker has died, according to multiple media reports in the United Kingdom. He was 70 years old.

The singer born in Sheffield, United Kingdom was battling lung cancer, according to The Yorkshire Post .

The Yorkshire Post says Cocker died at his home in Colorado.

Cocker’s agent Barrie Marshall confirmed his passing to the BBC .

Cocker was best known for his cover of The Beatles’ hit “With a Little Help from My Friends” – which hit topped the UK charts in 1968.

He also performed the song live at Woodstock in 1969.
