CLEVELAND – A 14-year-old girl said she was approached by a man and told to “get in the car.”

The teen, Teonna Johnson, told police the incident happened near the intersection of East 128th Street Paxton Road Tuesday night.

Teonna said she was walking home from a friend’s house when the man came up behind her.

“He came and grabbed me by my hood and pushed me in the car,” she said.

The teen told police she was forced into the backseat and the man took off.

As the car slowed near Woodside Avenue, Teonna said she jumped out of the backseat and ran.

Teonna said the car did not follow her.

She did get a good look at the suspect who she described as:

  • Black man in his 30s or 40s
  • Over 6 feet tall
  • Heavy set
  • Full beard
  • Wearing black boots and a white shirt underneath a coat.

Police are looking for a white Ford Taurus with a dent on the side, tinted windows, a tail light out and 30 day tags.

“It hurt to think someone would try and snatch my baby,” said Cecelia Samuel, the Teonna’s mother.
