It’s been almost four years since the death of Amy Winehouse in 2011. A new documentary about the late singer’s life and career called Amy, now has an official trailer.

Winehouse discusses remaining true to herself in the clip. “I wouldn’t write anything unless it was directly personal to me just ’cause I wouldn’t be able to tell the story right.  I’m not a girl trying to be a star or trying to be anything besides a musician.”

She continues on with predicting her adjustment to fame,  “I don’t think I’m gonna be at all famous. I don’t think I could handle it. I’d probably go mad.”

It’s almost eerie to hear Winehouse’s voice. The way she talks about her passion for music is both inspiring and sad. If only we were able to see how far her career would’ve gone.

The film is set to premiere in the U.K on July 3, 2015.
