How do you pick your lottery numbers?

With a $500 million Powerball jackpot on the line tonight millions of people will be trying to pick the winning combination.
The Powerball drawing consists of five white balls and one red Powerball.
Many players will look at the statistics. They will try to choose the numbers that come up most often.
For the Powerball, according to LottoNumbers.com, the most popular white ball numbers are 26, last drawn 56 days ago; 41, last drawn 18 days ago; 22, drawn seven days ago; 16 came up 14 days ago; 42 was drawn four days ago and 35, drawn 116 days ago.
LottoNumbers.com posted that the most picked Powerball is 20, last drawn 11 days ago. It is followed by 6, picked 21 days ago; 29, 207 days ago; 2, 39 days ago; 18 and 9, drawn 56 and 35 days ago.
Another approach is to look for numbers that have not come up in a while.
For the Powerball, the most overdue numbers include 1, 11, 34, 3, 35, 24.
Playing these numbers do not change your odds. Whether you choose your own numbers or play a quick pick, the odds are still 1 in 175,223,510 that you’ll collect the $5000 million.
