A sales tax holiday is hitting Ohio from Aug. 3 to Aug. 5 and will continue every year on the first Friday, Saturday and Sunday of August, according to the Ohio Department of Taxation.
The Department of Taxation said the following items are included in the sales tax holiday exemption:
- Clothing priced at $75 per item or less
- School supplies priced at $20 per item or less
- School instructional material priced at $20 per item or less
Items used in a trade or business are not exempt during the sales tax holiday, according to the department.
