Participants of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) will receive partial benefits early this month, according to a news release.

Benefits are being partially issued to ensure that participants do not go more than 40 days between benefits due to last month’s government shutdown.

The news release states that participants will receive half of their March benefits Feb. 22, with the remainder being issued on the regularly scheduled date.
