We have stories from prominent people in the entertainment world such as Oprah, Ellen Degeneres and rapper Common who have survived being molested by a relative, but what about the one’s that are not famous. Oprah, Ellen Degeneres and rapper Common have all spoken their truth what about the one’s that don’t have the platform to reach masses? What about the one’s who’s truth is being stifled by their family. Will there be someone that is brave enough to break the cycle?

I am a 44 y/o female. I just recently found out that my 7 y/o daughter has been being molested by a relative. It has been going through my family for over a decade and I’m tired of it. My mother is taking up for the person that did this disgusting act. Some of the family members that know are mad at me what am I supposed to do. What to do? Also there mad because they know I’m going to the authorities
