Brandy is going to be getting political with her new gig on the CW’s “Beverly Hills: 90210.”
The singer has just revealed that she’ll be flexing a little political muscle on the teen drama.
She excitedly shared the good news via Twitter, writing,”I can’t tell you starz nothing first…lol! Yes I’m going to be on #90210 for multiple episodes and I will be playing a politician!!! YIKES!”
There’s no word on when she’ll begin shooting, but she may have to work around her other gig on “Majors & Minors.” Despite her own opinion that she should really leave reality TV alone, the singer said last week that she would be acting as something of a mentor on the show, which helps teens and tweens break onto the music scene.
With all that good news under her belt, landing a gig on “90210” was just icing on the cake for Brandy, who admits that she loves to get in character. “I have the acting bug, singing bug, and all around ENTERTAINMENT bug!” she tweeted. “Ready to inspire and fulfill my new dreams all over again! Pray 4 me.”
This would be a return to scripted television for Brandy, who once starred in her own sitcom, “Moesha.” She also has a recurring role on Lifetime’s “Drop Dead Diva” this season.
