Explosions and chaos downtown but never fear, the Avengers are here!
And 19 Action News has EXCLUSIVE video!
After weeks of preparation, filming on E. 9th street finally kicked off Monday and it kicked off in a big, big way!
And 19 Action News Cameras were rolling to capture one of the day’s big explosions.
Earlier in the day, hundreds of extras ran for their lives as gunshots rang out, and NYPD cars sped by with sirens blaring!
E. 9th Street has been transformed to look like 42nd Street in New York City, for a huge action sequence!
But if you do make your way down to the set, make sure you come, with lots of patience.
And while the set looks great a lot of the time, there isn’t much action to see. Much time is spent setting up shots but you may just get lucky, and see one of the film’s stars.
Many viewers tweeted photos of Chris Evans, who plays Captain America. He shot a brief scene, and was the only big name star on set Monday.
