A local Cleveland rapper has been sentenced to prison for his role in what authorities claim was the promotion of prostitution.

Dawud Sami, known as Offiically GP, 43 from Cleveland, reportedly pleaded guilty to promoting prostitution, a fourth-degree felony. He’s been sentenced to eight months in prison.

Sami, born Thomas Bradford, was indicted on six counts in January. However, five charges, including one for human trafficking, were dropped.

Tipsters told Cuyahoga County authorities that Sami operated a human trafficking ring and advertised sex for sale online. An investigation found he branded his victims with “Red Karpet” tattoos, and allegedly used the illicit proceeds to buy multiple luxury car and a house, using his victims’ identities, authorities said.

Court documents showed how Sami referred to himself as a “pimp” in his music videos.
